About

Jenni Alpert (birth name: Cameron / Cami) Singer-songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and founder of Fine Arts Revolution Inc a non profit that fosters Creative Arts Wellness Programs and Advocacy Mediation Services for unhoused communities, was born in Los Angeles, CA and adopted out of the foster care system at the age of four. She started to sing and play music while staying in various foster homes. With the encouragement and support of her adoptive family, she learned to play the guitar and began writing and recording songs early. With her honest rich songwriting and soothing musical melodies, songstress Jenni Alpert’s haunting, powerful, and sultry voice has gained the respect of fans and music tastemakers worldwide (AOL music). Her emotionally driven songs weaves a unique web of eclectic Soul-Americana Pop. As familiar with jazz and Americana as she is pop, Alpert graduated from UCLA from the Ethnomusicology Department in Jazz Vocal Studies after completing a four-year jazz program headed by Kenny Burrell. No stranger to the recording studio, Alpert has released 8 albums, partnered up with Steve Greenberg from S-Curve Records for her most recent Live in the Studio release Until Then featuring renowned guitarist Guthrie Trapp, and has independently toured over 14 countries with regularity.

Years later, Jenni went searching for her biological father with the help of a private investigator after being separated by the legal system for thirty years, finally finding him homeless, addicted, and running from the law at the time, yet unbeknownst to her a musician just like her. In their profound partnership of five years, ultimately she guides him out of the legal system and off the streets becoming his advocate and shadow, sustaining stability and social services support finally adopting him into her life cultivating an inspiring transformation from vagrant to volunteer with the music they share in their extraordinary partnership founded on unconditional love. Meeting and reuniting with her birth father when he was homeless and creatively assisting him with unique creative solution solving approaches tailored specially for Don, inspiring him with transitioning off the streets and into a life of security with her in their shared love for music with community service as the platform to share their story and songs was the pivotal moment that expanded the trajectory of her music career onto the path of becoming a creative wellness service provider for those experiencing homelessness and those in transition in the world of non profits.

Upon discovering their reunion story a film team decided to make a short documentary entitled Homeless: the Soundtrack directed by Oscar-nominated, Peabody and Emmy Award winning documentary film director Irene Taylor Brodsky, produced by Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz about the early stages that unfold the journey of their biological reunion capturing the unique bond they share highlighting details of their transformative journey in partnership.  The two traveled, spoke, and performed to share their biological reunion adventures and creative approaches towards transformation in story and song together as Performing Artists in Community Service at Rescue Missions, Homeless Shelters, for various non profits, and in local venues around the country alongside supporting the making of the short documentary and self penned memoir: Home is Where the Heart is An Adoption and Biological Reunion Story under the name Cami and Don, The Biological Duo until his passing.

Since then, in her birth father Don's honor, Jenni Alpert (Cami) founded Fine Arts Revolution Inc a non profit organization that designs music and arts wellness programs for unhoused communities and those in transition that focuses on creative solution solving through facilitating creative wellness programs and approaches, implementing them in shelters, tiny homes, centers, food banks, and encampments, to assist in transiting towards a life of stability and permanency.
